This Flexseal Drain Coupling is designed to connect two pipes of the same, or similar, outside diameter in unadopted (private) drainage systems. It can also be used to repair pipe systems by replacing short sections of pipe.

It has a connection size range of 100-115mm and also has the flexibility to accommodate small differences in pipe OD’s of up to 10mm. When the pipe OD’s are outside of this limitation, Flexseal Adaptor Couplings can be used instead.

Important Note: A minimum joint gap between connecting pipes should be allowed to account for any pre-set angular deflection before tightening and practical angular deflection after installation. For Drain Couplings, that gap is usually 10mm.

Manufacturers Advice: Adopted drainage systems are most commonly adopted by highway agencies, water companies or local authorities. Connections using flexible couplings are likely regulated under a specification such at WIS 4-41-01 in the UK, which states that all adopted drainage systems must only be connected using Shear Banded Couplings. This is to ensure joint stability and sewer invert level is maintained. For this reason, Drain Couplings are prohibited on adopted drainage systems and only Flexseal’s Shear Banded Couplings should be used.
