This Flexseal ICON Pushfit Coupling is designed to connect two pipes of the same, or similar, internal diameter. It removes the internal joint step that is created by connecting two different pipe materials with conventional outside diameter couplings. This creates a smoother transition between pipe invert levels and aids the natural flow of sewer systems.

Suitable for connecting two DN150 pipes, this Icon Pushfit Coupling has a connection size range of 148-153mm. To connect a DN150 pipe to a DN100, use the Flexseal Internal Pushfit Coupling - DN100-DN150 instead.

Manufacturers Advice: the lip in the rubber is tapered to eliminate steps in the joint and aid natural flow. Bore reduction has been kept to a minimum and is deemed suitable for drainage applications because of these improvements to flow. Ensure that the tapered edge on the rubber sleeve does not fold back when inserting into the pipe. Lubricant may be required, if so use sparingly, water is recommended.

Applications
Traditionally flexible couplings connect to the outside of pipelines to ensure the internal surface is free from obstruction. However, there are occasions where internal couplings are necessary, such as:

• Pipe has been encased in concrete.
• Pipe surrounded by brick.
• Pipe cut off at the floor or wall, leaving no stub or excess.
