This 46,000 litre Clearwater Cesspool is designed to collect, retain and store potentially harmful effluent and sewage underground. The horizontal design reduces the excavation depth required on site and can help to avoid issues with groundwater levels. 

This tank is fitted with 2 shafts to aid de-sludging. It is recommended that larger tanks serving multiple properties should have a vent fitted to the neck to enable localised high level venting.

Optional Extra Notice: The high level alarm is an optional extra, purchased at additional cost, but it is one recommended by the manufacturer for this unit.

Cesspools are designed for storage only and, as a result, the contents must be regularly emptied into a tanker and taken away. Whilst this process is less cost efficient that using a Sewage Treatment Plant, for properties without mains drainage access for sewage waste to discharge to, or consent to discharge into soakaway or a watercourse cannot be obtained, cesspools are still a viable solution.

For installation you will require a concrete base and a concrete surround (both to be cast on site to suit site conditions) and a concrete cover slab on top. See installation guidelines for further details.
