This Mitras MK2 Surface Mounted Gas Meter Box is designed to house all domestic U6 and G4 gas meters. It is an ideal solution for conversions, where it is not possible/appropriate to recess the meter box into the wall. It can also be used as a replacement cover for a broken meter box when the back plate is removed.

This meter box is fully approved to National Grid Gas specifications and complies with BS 8499:2017 specification for domestic gas meter boxes and meter brackets. It is durable, resistant to rusting/corrosion, and comes supplied with a meter box key and spigot included.

Manufacturer’s Note: Service entry is fixed on the bottom left-hand side with a built-in mounting for a PE pipe transition fitting. Gas outlet position optional - through the bottom right-hand side or via a rear knockout.
