150/178mm Perforated Twinwall Pipe - 6m Length
This 150/178mm (ID/OD) perforated twinwall pipe, also known as 6 inch twinwall drainage pipe, is designed to collect and distribute surface water through perforations along the pipe wall. Acting as a filter drain, it channels water to a suitable collection point and is commonly used in agricultural, roadside and general drainage applications.
Manufactured from HDPE using a twin extrusion process, the pipe combines a robust corrugated outer wall with a smooth inner wall to support efficient hydraulic performance.
Features & benefits include:
- 150mm (6 inch) drainage pipe suitable for collecting and distributing surface water.
- Perforated design allows water to enter the pipe for effective drainage.
- Lightweight construction for easier handling and transportation.
- Quick installation helps reduce plant and labour requirements on site.
- Corrugated external wall provides strength whilst maintaining a low overall weight.
- Smooth internal bore assists hydraulic performance and flow efficiency.
- Design helps minimise the accumulation of silt within the pipe.
- Can be cut on site using conventional hand tools when required.

Product Details
Perforated twinwall pipes are designed with small holes (perforations) in each dwell along the pipe length to collect and distribute surface water. This makes them suitable for use as filter drains, directing water to a suitable collection point.
The twin extrusion manufacturing process used to create these pipes gives them a corrugated outer wall, making them more resilient to external pressure and weight loads, and a smooth inner wall to assist hydraulic flow and minimise silt build-up by removing the internal dwells of single-wall corrugated pipes.
Twinwall pipes typically weigh less than 6% of the equivalent size of concrete pipe, while still retaining a strength and durability sufficient for most drainage applications. This lightweight design makes them easier to transport and safer to handle on site.
Applications
Twinwall pipes of this diameter are most commonly used in:
- Farm drainage
- Field drainage
They can also be suitable for:
- Drainage around buildings
- Roadside drainage projects
Compatibility
This pipe is rigid, not flexible, and is intended for use with 150mm twinwall couplers or fittings to join two lengths of pipe together.
JDP offers a full range of compatible fittings and accessories, including fabricated fittings manufactured in-house.
Half perforated pipe is also available upon request.
Installation Advice
Twinwall pipes are suitable for installation in a wide range of soil conditions and can be easily cut on site using conventional hand tools. Where site modifications are required, pipes should be cut square between corrugations for best results.
