This Overflow Reducer is designed to enable a direct connection between a 21.5mm overflow system and a 32/40mm waste system. Manufactured from durable PVC-U, this reducer is plain ended and can be connected to either push-fit or solvent weld waste systems.

Wastewater overflow systems are used to control the draining of water from bathroom products, such as sinks and bathtubs. The overflow element of the system helps to prevent the water level from filling beyond a safety point to avoid accidental flooding.

Manufacturers Advice (solvent weld): Use Solvent Cement for solvent weld jointing purposes - apply evenly to both surfaces of the joint for a reliable weld. No expansion gap required on the solvent weld overflow system.

Manufacturers Advice (push-fit): For ease of installation use Silicone Lubricant

on the plain end of the reducer as well as the push-fit ring seal of the pipe. An allowance of a 10mm expansion gap on all push-fit joints is required for the expansion of pipes and fittings in each socket of push-fit systems.

Working Temperature

FloPlast's Soil & Waste Systems may be used to carry liquids, when subjected to a continuous flow, with a maximum temperature of 76 degrees C. Intermittent discharges of up to 100 degrees C may occur, provided that a duration of less than two minutes is observed.
