The Klargester 4,600 litre Raintrap is a rainwater harvesting system. It collects water via your guttering system, filters it and then stores it in a large tank underground. It comes complete with a pump so this filtered water can be directed straight to your garden hose, sprinkler system or even your power washer.
This has many benefits over a traditional water butt including:
- Having a much larger capacity
- Eliminates the need to carry the water around your garden
- Designed with an overflow to ensure it won’t flood
This system has a simple on or off operation and endeavours to be inexpensive to install and maintain. The integral filter stops leaves and debris passing through, meaning only the filtered water makes it into the tank. When the tank is full the excess rainwater will be diverted to an overflow outlet which is connected to a surface water drain or soakaway system. This also means the filter is self-cleaning; it is periodically flushed out by this excess rainwater as it passes out of the overflow outlet.
Common applications for this system:
- Garden watering
- Horticultural watering
- Small vehicle washing
Customer Advice: The filtered water is non-potable and is therefore not suitable for drinking.
