This Mitras Semi-Buried Gas Meter Box is an unobtrusive brown meter box that is designed to be partially buried in the ground. It has been developed to house the lower cost metal cased U6 and G4 meters when used with a water resistant seal.

This gas meter box complies with BS 8499:2017 specification for domestic gas meter boxes and meter brackets. It is durable, resistant to rusting/corrosion, and comes supplied with a meter box key included.

Manufacturer’s Note: The gas service entry is below ground to the bottom left of the meter box where a built-in entry boss is located. The outlet position is located at the top right-hand side of the box. This can be ignored if rear or left-hand exit is preferred, but a new hole would have to be drilled in these circumstances. The meter is placed in the well of the box and can be sealed to the top edge with the use of a neoprene seal (not included with this meter box).
