This PLASSON pressure reducing valve is designed to reduce the water pressure in a pipe system if it get too high. Inlet pressures from mains water supplies are often too high and variable for domestic appliances and, without being stabilised, can cause damage to them.
Manufacturers Advice: It is strongly recommended that BSP threads are assembled with PTFE tape to ensure a leak free joint.
