Klargester Bypass Separators remove contaminants, such as oil, chemicals and solids, from surface water to make sure they don’t pollute the nearby environment.
This 2500m2 Bypass Separator is Rota-moulded from polyethylene, making it strong and compact, as well as light and easy to handle on site. It comes complete with fitted inlet and outlet connectors and vent points in the neck. Maintenance is accessible from ground level, making it quicker and easier in upkeep. The design is Class 1 (required for discharge to any surface water) and the tank is CE-marked!

The bypass design is only suitable when it is considered acceptable to not treat water travelling at higher flow rates, i.e. storm water, meaning there would have to be minimal chance of a spillage and heavy rainfall occurring at the same time. Faster flowing storm water, i.e. above approx. 6.5mm/hr of rainfall, will pass through the system, bypassing the main separator chamber.
