63mm SLA Barrier Pipe Coil - 50m
This 50m coil of 63mm SLA Barrier Pipe is used for safely transporting potable water through contaminated land. The pipe has an actual outside diameter of 65.6 - 65.9mm and is designed for use with gunmetal SLA Barrier Pipe fittings.
The multi-layer Type A barrier pipe construction includes an inner black PE100 core, a spirally wrapped double-bonded aluminium barrier layer, and an outer blue PE100 layer with brown identification stripes. The aluminium layer helps prevent contaminants such as heavy metals, inorganic substances and hydrocarbons from entering drinking water supplies.

This 63mm SLA Barrier Pipe is a Type A barrier pipe designed for potable water distribution through contaminated land. The pipe is supplied as a 50m coil and has an actual outside diameter of 65.6 - 65.9mm.
Technical Design
The pipe has a multi-layer construction with an inner core of 63mm black PE100, a middle layer of spirally wrapped double-bonded aluminium, and an outer core of blue PE100 with brown identification stripes.
The aluminium layer helps prevent the ingress of heavy metals, inorganic substances and hydrocarbons that may be present in the ground into drinking water supplies.
The inner black PE layer helps identify any damaged pipe during installation, while the outer blue PE layer provides protection and clear identification.
Installation Guidance
The pipe is designed for easy installation with pushfit fittings, with no need for additional wrapping.
Use with gunmetal SLA Barrier Pipe fittings. Electrofusion fittings may be used with 63mm barrier pipe, however pushfit fittings are recommended. Contact JDP for more information.
Compatibility

Approvals & Standards
WIS 4-39-19 approved, WRAS approved, DWI Regulation 31 approved and manufactured to BS EN 12201. Independent chemical and mechanical testing has been performed by KIWA.
