Enduramaxx Rainwater Harvesting Calmed Inlet

This Enuramaxx Calmed Inlet is designed for use with Enduramaxx Rainwater Tanks to form part of a Rainwater Harvesting system. When connected to a filter unit with a length of drainage pipe (sold separately or as part of the Enduramaxx Rainwater Harvesting Kits), a Calmed Inlet prevents incoming water from disturbing any sediment present in the bottom of the tank. It also ensures fresh water is supplied to lower area of the tank, which results in a complete and regular replenishment of stored water.

How it Works:

Rainwater flows into the filter where dirt and debris is removed from the flow. The filtered water then flows into the rainwater tank via the calmed inlet which sits at the bottom of the tank. This is designed to act as a secondary cleaning step by allowing the water to enter the tank with minimal turbulence so as to not disturb any sediment which may be present at the bottom of the tank.

The “calmed” rainwater entering the tank also supplies oxygen to the water resting at the lower end of the tank, keeping it fresh by prevention of anaerobic decomposition.
