Highway drainage is very important, whether it's for a busy road or heavily used car park, to prevent localised flooding as a cause of accidents or delays. All of the road drainage solutions in this category are able to withstand loading applications up to 40 tonnes with a D400 loading standard. This channel can be used in applications such as parking areas for heavy vehicles, perhaps a factory or supermarket car park and alongside carriageways of major roads.

Unlike other channel drainage gratings the ductile iron grates of these channel drains have been strengthened against lateral forces, meaning they are able to withstand the sideways forces imposed on them due to moving vehicles. Additionally, they have features which makes them resistant to frost, UV and de-icing salt making them a reliable choice for highway applications.
