This PLASSON dead leg kit is designed for use with an end feed multiport manifold. In multi occupancy applications, such as apartments, flats and offices, the simplest option is to split the incoming supply into multiple feeds. This can be achieved with an end feed multiport manifold. However, if an end feed manifold is used without ‘continuation’, it has the potential to create legionella outbreaks. This can be avoided by blanking off the open end with dead leg kit to remove the possibility of stagnant water.

Water supply connection to multi-use buildings requires several components to meet water company requirements/regulations. Multiport manifolds can be used in conjunction with the meter mount kits and other PLASSON components to ensure the installation meets the required standards/approvals.

Manufacturers Advice: Plasson Fittings and Valves are designed for cold water applications up to 20 Degrees C and will withstand sub-zero temperatures. It is strongly recommended that BSP threads are assembled with PTFE tape to ensure a leak free joint.
