Product Details

Unperforated twinwall pipes are designed with solid walls, meaning that they don’t have little holes in their dwells, unlike perforated twinwall. This makes them suitable for use as filter drains, safely transporting collected surface water to a discharge point without letting the water leak out.

The twin extrusion manufacturing process used to create these pipes gives them a corrugated outer wall, making them more resilient to external pressure and weight loads, and a smooth inner wall to assist hydraulic flow and minimise silt build-up by covering the internal dwells of single-wall corrugated pipes.

Twinwall pipes typically weigh less than 6% of the equivalent size of concrete pipe, while still retaining a strength and durability sufficient for most drainage applications. This lightweight design makes them easier to transport and safer to handle on site.

Compatibility

• This pipe is rigid, not flexible, and is intended for use with a 300mm twinwall coupler to join two lengths of pipe together.
• JDP offers a full range of compatible 300mm twinwall fittings and accessories, including fabricated fittings manufactured in-house.
• For a watertight system, remember to use twinwall ring seals (two per join).
• Also available in a 2m length, a 1m length (for use as risers), or as 300mm perforated filter drain pipe.

Installation Advice

Twinwall pipes are suitable for installation in a wide range of soil conditions and can be easily cut on site using conventional hand tools. Where site modifications are required, pipes should be cut square between corrugations for best results.
