The Klargester Silt Trap is designed to provide simple effective separation and storage of silt to protect drainage systems. When installed along with a separator, it provides an increased capacity for removing silt in highly silted areas.
Example:
Location - Car wash site
Installed - Ahead of the accompanying separator
Details - The discharge from the car wash would run into the trap via the grating top. The solids would then fall down into the trap and the remaining liquid would pass out of the outlet and onto the separator. This means that there is less silt passing into the main separator and therefore it won’t need to be emptied quite as often.
